Forest School

Holy Family Forest School aims to foster a lifelong love of nature, promote resilience and inspire curiosity through immersive, hands-on outdoor learning experiences. By engaging with the natural environment, we empower our pupils to develop important life skills such as confidence, teamwork and problem solving while nurturing their emotional and physical well-being.

This provision supports many Catholic Social Principles and enhances our school’s vision of cultivating well-rounded, compassionate and caring pupils.  We seek to ignite a sense of wonder and responsibility for the world around us, ensuring every pupil benefits from enriched opportunities to thrive academically, socially and personally.

History of Forest School

Prior to becoming a Forest School, this area was derelict and overgrown with brambles. Recognising the potential for outdoor learning, the site was carefully transformed: pathways were cleared, bark chippings laid, and a rope fence erected to create a safe and clearly defined boundary.
